　Ⅰ．緒言

　真菌症については，抗生物質，ステロイドホルモンおよび制癌剤などが多量に使用されるにつれ注目されているが，耳鼻咽喉科領域における副鼻腔真菌症は稀であるとされてきた。しかし，近年その報告例は増加の傾向にある。われわれは上顎癌と誤診した副鼻腔真菌症2例を経験したので報告する。

　Studies of fungus infection, in the field of otolaryngology today, have been taken up with much vigor since the advent of its treatment by antibiotics, steroid hormone and anticancerous agents. Fungus infection of the sinus cavities was considered as to be rare in occurrence. However, recently, such cases are being reported increasingly in number.

　The authors report 2 cases of fungus infection of the maxillary sinus in which the initial diagnosis, unfortunately, was mistaken for cancer of the maxillary sinus.

　The fungus infection of the sinus may in the early stage of the diseas show symptoms similar to those of the malignant tumor, such as the swelling of the cheek and bony destructions.
