　Ⅰ．緒言

　耳鼻咽喉科領域においては，諸種の原因により，嚥下障害を訴える患者が多い。

　われわれは，嚥下麻痺を初発症状として来院し，続いて球麻痺症状を呈した症例に遭遇し，Virus検索を行なつた結果，非Polio性Virus感染が疑われた。最近，麻痺性中枢神経系疾患の原因として，非Polio性Virusが増加しているおり，興味ある症例と考えるので報告する。

　A girl, aged 13, was affected with difficulty in swallowing and on the 14th day of her illness, she presented symptoms of a complete bulbospinal paralysis Virus infection was suspected but no positive result was obtained in the subsequent search of the offender. The case was consisdered as that of a non-polio-producing virus that, recently, appeared to be on the increase in number since instituting wide and thorough administration of oral anti-poliomyelitis vaccine throughout the country.
