Ⅰ．緒言
耳鼻咽喉科領域で取り扱われる癌腫の中で，口蓋垂，喉頭蓋の癌腫は比較的その例少なく，特にここに原発したと考えられる限局性のものは，稀であるといわれている。最近われわれは口蓋垂に限局した癌症例と喉頭蓋に限局した癌症例を経験した。これらの症例に対していずれも限局的な摘出術を施行したが，現在のところ二症例とも治癒状態にあり再発の傾向は全く見られない。部分的摘除術の予後という観点からも，興味ある症例と思われるのでここに報告する。
Two cases of carcinoma are reported. In the first case a carcinoma of the uvula was found in a man, aged 77. The growth was initially treated by irradiation of Co60 for its localiza-tion and it was successfully removed surgi-cally thereafter.
The second case was the cancer of epiglo-ttis in a woman, aged 57. The epiglottis was surgically removed after ascertaining the la-ryngeal tissues had not been invaded by ca-ncer which was established by a direct lary-ngeal examination through laryngofissure.
The modes in which swallowing and pho-nation are carried out in these two patients are commented upon.
