　I．はしがき

　咽頭付近（舌根，側索，口蓋等）は過敏であつて反射も強く，且つ神経症症状も起り易い所とされているが，私は最近口蓋扁桃摘出後右口蓋に奇形を生じ，反射症状の著しい症例を経験したので，症例を報告し，尚，其の発来機序を考えて見度いと思う。

A man, aged 45, complained of pricking sensations in the throat with occasional atta-cks of chills, nausea and excessive sweating following tonsillectomy. Examination of the throat showed the soft palate and the uvula to be retracted to one side due to scar for-mation the result of the operation. The au-thors believe the scar affording abnormal sti-mulation to the glossopharyngeal and other sympathetic nerves to produce such distur-bances.
