　唾液腺の異物は稀な疾患であるがその中でも比較的顎下腺に多く，耳下腺の異物は極めて稀なものとされている。本邦文献を狩猟し得た範囲では本疾患の報告は昭和7年坂井の症例以来20例に過ぎない。私は最近2年間に当科で5例を経験したので茲に報告し併せて若干の考察を加えてみたい。

Uyeda reports his experience in treatment of 5 cases of the foreign body of salivary glands in the last 2 years. This subject is discussed with findings of 20 similar cases reported in the literature. The disease appear to be an affection involving mostly the adults and predominantly among the males : the nature of the foreign body comprising vege-table in origin. The object of offence being lodged in the ducts rather than that in the gland proper. In most cases the occasion of the onset is unknown to the patient. Diagnosis in the majority of cases are established by visualization of the salivary glands. At times the foreign body may be removed by flushing irrigation of the duct.
