重症アフタ性口内炎症例

　アフタ性口内炎は，臨床的に屡々遭遇する疾患であつて，その大部分は一過性に経過する。然し一方，全く同様の症状，所見を呈し乍ら執拗に数週，或は年余に及ぶもの，又は軽快，増悪を反覆する様な症例もあつて治療に際し非常に困難さを感ずる場合もある。私は最近隅々この様なアフタ性口内炎で，広汎囲に深い潰瘍を形成し，全身衰弱の激しい重症例を観察する機会を得たので，その経過，処置等に就いて報告した。

Kurai reports a case of severe aphthous stomatitis accompanied by multiple, deep, large and small ulcerations of the oral mucous membane and marked malnutrition of the body in general. The pateint was put to bed-rest with forced feeding and given aureomycin and penicillin for drug therapy. Under this regimen recovery of the condition was attained in a very short period of time.

However, 3 months later the patient was found to be suffering from eaxctly similar condition of which he complained originally. Bacterial examination of the aphthous memm-brane and biopsy of the area of ulceration revealed a growth of candida. The use of antibiotics was contraindicated. The patient recovered completely from his affections in the period of time of 1 month under special treatment.
