外傷性鞍鼻に使用せるプロテーゼの一私案

　緒言

　先天性の低鼻，疾病後遺症としての鞍鼻，或は外傷後の鞍鼻に対しては古くから種々の整形が試みられ，脱臼或は骨折した骨部又は軟骨部を出血的に整復する企ては別として，中でもプロテーゼ挿入法に依る処の隆鼻整形の試みは，其の挿入物質，挿入方法に就いて，幾多の考案がなされてきた。一方，プロテーゼの形態及び其の構造に就いても，先人は多くの工夫を凝らしてきた。即ち形態から観れば単に棒状のもの，へら型のもの，舟底型の隆起を与えたもの，或は底面の滑止めの刻みを具えたもの，等種々のものがあり，他方，構造より観れば，鼻尖部の支えを考慮してL字型にしたプロテーゼ，又はプロテーゼと支柱を連結して関節を設けたもの等が報告されてきた。私は最近外傷性鞍鼻に対して一私案のプロテーゼを試用し，可なり満足すべき結果を得たので，茲に報告するものである。

Ando devises a modification on the method concerned in prosthetic operation of the nose, which was used in correction of lst degree intensity saddle-nose of a man who was in-jured in a coal-mine accident. The material of prosthesis consists of plastics of methyl-metacryl derivative.For proper support of the insert for a stay another piece is constr-ucted by using non-corroding metal so that the two pieces of the prosthesis may be joined together at the tip of the nose. For insertion of these pieces the rim incision is employed and placed on the dorsal aspect of the nose. The advantages evidenced by this procedures are listed as follows:

(1) The nasal tip is maintained in its pro-per snape.

(2) The method is applicable to other for-ms nesal prosthesis heretofore employed.

(3) The length of the supporting piece may be easily trimmed according to the ne-cessity of the case.
