　プロテウス菌による脳静脈洞血栓症は諸家の統計によれば，比較的少く，抗生物質に対する感受性も報告がまちまちで，プロテウス菌は抗生物質に対して不感受性菌であると報告され，一方では菌株により感受性が一定でないとも報告されている。

　最近我々はプロテウス菌を起炎菌とする脳静脈洞血栓症に続く敗血症の1例に遭遇し，抗生物質投与及び病巣開放により治癒せしめたので，茲に報告する。

Sato and associates report a case of sigmoid sinus thrombosis that recovered with mastoide-ctomy and institution of antibiotic therapy the-reafter. A female child,aged 8,showed sympto-ms of sinus thrombosis which apparently deve-loped from cholesteatomatous otitismedia of the right ear. With mastoidectomy the sigmoid si-nus was exposed but not opened. The organi-sms of infection proved to be Proteus Mirabilis which showed response to both chloromycetin and penicillin.
