　本症は一般に小兒に多いとされており，又小兒の場合は再發を起し易く屡々難治である事は文献で見る所である。ところで成人では本症を見る事は少く再發を起す事も少いがまれに癌性變化を起した報告を見る。我々もたまたま再發を起した難治な小児例と成人で癌性變化を見た症例を經驗したので報告し考察を加えた。

HAYAKAWA AND YAMAGUCHI report two cases of pappiloma which was exceptionally persistent and difficult to cure and which occ-urred in the pharynx of a child and an adult. The growth in the latter was found to have taken a malignant form. In case of a child the important points to observe are caredefulmoval of the growth with biting forceps without cau-sing injury to surroundingmucous membranes; to avoid excessive dosage of X-rays; admistra-tion of aureomycin. In adults the growths should be closely watched for malignant ch an-ges by repeated biopsy examinations
