　耳疾患又はこの附近の病変からして顔面神経麻痺を惹起することは日常認めるところであるが，それでも尚その障碍部位の細い点については不明瞭の事も少くない。

　而して通常聽器又はこの近傍の疾患から生じる顔面神経麻痺の内，その原因疾患が稀有なものである時に際しては，一層この障碍部位又は麻痺の発生病変が明らかでないのである。

HIBINO AND OKAMOTO report a casc of granuloma of the ear that occurred in a male infant, aged 2. Initial complaints of the patient were that of facial paralysis accompanied by swelling behind and below the ear lobe. The gr-owth was exterpated and the patient recovered without event. In connection with the discussion on the pathology and etiology of the growth, the authors consider it to be congenital in origin and the case as a rare occurrence.
