　鼻腔異物は統計上小児に多く，異物の種類も多種多樣のものが報告されていて敢て興味のあるものではないが，異物の種類が珍らしいもの，侵入機転又はその経路が特異なもの，摘出に困難を感じたもの，或は長期間介在していたもの等が報告の対象となつているのが見られる。

　余等は最近その成立過程に特に興味あるばかりでなく，両側性と云う点に於ても極めて珍らしい金属性鼻腔異物の1例に遭遇したので，茲にその大要を報告する。

SAKAGUCHI AND YOSHII report a case of foreing body of nasal cavity which is rather unique in that it occurred in an adult and the substance with which it was caused. A jewel smith, aged 22, while processing white gold in a molten state recieved facial burns from acci-dental splashing of the heated metal which also peculiarly lodged in both nasal cavities. The nasal mucous membranes were affected with thermal burns which caused formation of whit-ish membranes but the foreing body which was thinly distributed was easily removed from either nares.
