I．はじめに

　頭蓋外の動静脈奇形（AVM）は比較的稀な疾患で，その治療は困難なものとされている．それは，外頸動脈系のAVMはfeederが多く網状を呈しており，またAVMの本体自身の範囲が広いことが多く，完全摘出することが難しく，再発しやすいためである^1,8,11）．

　そこでわれわれは，頭皮および側頭筋内のAVMに対し流動性栓子として最近その使用が注目されているcyanoacrylate（アロンァルファA^®）による人工栓塞術を行ったので報告する．また臨床例に先だち，正常動脈内に入ったアロンアルファの追跡を行うため，イヌの腸間膜動脈への注入実験を行い，組織学的検索を行った．

Two cases of the extracranial arteriovenous malformation(AVM) were treated by intra-arterial injection of eyano-acrylate (Aron alpha A).

The first case was a 31-year-old man who had an AVMin the left temporal muscle. At operation, the feeders, theleft anterior and posterior deep temporal arteries, wereexposed and Aron alpha A was injected into these feeders.The pulsation of the AVM disappeared and the AVMbecame a hard mass. The mass was totally removed withremarkably little amount of bleeding. No complication wasnoted.
