　局所神経活動〜局所代謝量の変化〜局所血流量の変化という，正常状態ではきわめて密接な近似（coupling）^2，17,27）を利用し局所代謝量あるいは局所血流量（local cerebral blood flow＝LCBF,regional cerebral blood flow＝rCBF）の変化をとらえて神経活動の局在と量的変化を直接図示する方法がある（functional mapping）。これは神経活動の間接測定ではあるが，放射性同位元素（RI）を用いて全脳レベルで測定する方法の進歩に著しいものがあり^3），神経活動にさいしての脳の広範な各領野の動向が明らかにされつつある。

Abstract

This is an introduction of a report on changes of regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) measured by ⁷⁷Kr-positron emission tomography during a type of voluntary movement in healthy young adult volunteers.

Positome III, MNI, gives rCBF (ml/100g/min) at a reasonable spatial resolution not only in convexity cortical areas but also in interhemi-spheric cortex and subcortical structures at the same time on three axial tomographic maps. The values are similar to those reported in cere-bral cortexes. Inhaled 10 mCi of ⁷⁷Kr (t^1/2=75 min) results in a low radiation dose.
