Abstract 文献概要

神経感染症の診断において画像診断，とくにMRIは重要な役割を果たしている。画像診断は脳膿瘍，脳炎，髄膜炎，プリオン病，寄生虫感染症，先天性感染症，免疫不全者の感染症，感染後脳炎などの種々の病変の検出や質的診断に役立つ。また，硬膜，脳血管，末梢神経，脊髄，脊椎の感染症の診断にも有用である。しかし，所見が軽微であったり他疾患との鑑別が困難な場合もあり，適切な検査法，撮像法の選択や慎重な読影が肝要である。

Among various imaging techniques, MRI plays an important role in the evaluation of the infectious diseases in the central and peripheral nervous systems, and their surrounding structures. MRI and CT not only detect lesions, but give us precise localization and nature of the lesions in brain abscesses, encephalitides, meningitides, Prion diseases, parasitic infections, perinatal infections, infections in immuno-compromized patients, and postinfec-tious diseases.
