6歳の女児。主訴は頻尿と血尿。中耳炎のため1年前より柴苓湯を投与されていた。初診時，血膿尿を認め，膀胱炎と診断し抗生剤を投与したが，難治性のため，膀胱鏡および膀胱生検を施行した。膀胱後三角部に発赤，腫脹があり，病理組織診断は急性膀胱炎であった。柴苓湯を中止したところ約2週間後治癒した。漢方薬が原因と考えられる膀胱炎の報告は自験例を含めて11例あり，文献的考察を加えた。
A 6-year-old girl with otitis media who had received Sairei-to for one year visited us complaining of pollakisuria and hematuria. Urianalysis showed aseptic hematopyuria, which did not improve after several antibiotic therapies. Cystoscopic examination demonstrated a raised hyperremic lesion in the retro trigonal portion, but subsequent biopsy revealed no specific findings other than non specific inflammation. Both hematopyuria and the symptoms disappeared within 2 weeks by stopping administraion of Sairei-to.
Eleven reported cases of cystitis due to KAMPO traditional chinese medicine were reviewed.
