　54歳，男性．夜間頻尿会陰部の重苦感を主訴として当科受診．直腸診にて前立腺癌が疑われたため，経会陰式前立腺生検を行い，前立腺移行上皮癌と診断した．入院時骨転移を認めており，根治的手術療法の適応でないため，抗男性ホルモン療法，放射線療法，および化学療法を施行したところ，化学療法に効果が認められた．

A 54-year-old patient was admitted with the complaint of nocturia and perineal discomfort. Digital examination suggested signs of malignancy, but all of the serum markers of prostatic malignancy within normal limits. Transperineal needle biopsy of the prostate revealed mixed type of transitional cell carcinoma with adenocarcinoma. Radiotherapy of a total dose of 5,000 rads was given over the prostate after castration and antiandrogenic therapy, but was not effective. We finally performed chemotherapy (V. I. P), which proved to be effective.
