　右眼球突出を主訴とした56歳の男性が，脳外科で眼窩後部から前頭部にかけての3cm径の腫瘍の摘出術を受けた。病理組織学的に腎細胞癌の脳転移が疑われ，検査の結果，左腎上極外側に突出する約3cm径の腫瘍を認め，左腎摘出術を行つた。脳摘出標本と同じく，clear cell carcinoma,grade 2であつた。尿路症状をまつたく欠き，脳転移症状を初発とした腎細胞癌例は珍しく報告した。

A 56-year-old man who had complained of the right exophthalmus received an extirpation of the tumor 3 × 3 × 3 cm in size between the right posterior orbit and frontal lobe at neurosurgery clinic. The histological study suggested the metastatic brain tumor from the renal cell carcinoma and we found the tumor in the upper pole of the left kidney. The left radical nephrectomy was performed and the histological findings disclosed the renal cell carcinoma of the clear cell subtype (grade 2) which was the same of the brain specimen.
