　Stage AからDまでの前立腺癌20症例に対し，われわれの考案した新しいサントリーニ静脈叢の処理手技を用いた前立腺全摘術を施行した。その処理手技の要点は，前立腺尿道移行部とサントリーニ静脈叢の間の剥離を用手法にて鈍的に行うことにある。膀胱頸部離断，前立腺側方・後面の剥離ののち直腸側より示指を前立腺尿道移行部に添わせて挿入し，これを直腸側に圧排することにより，結果的にサントリーニ静脈叢の剥離をするというものである。術中出血量平均1,100g，術後尿失禁7例（35％）であつた。

Radical retropubic prostatectomy with our simplified technique for the management of Santorini plexus was done on 20 patients with stage A to D prostate carcinoma. To dissect Santorini plexus in blood-free operative field, we opened up the cleavage plane between the prostatourethral junction and Santorini plexus with a index finger which was passed around the prostatourethral junction from behind the urethra. Urinary incontinence was seen in 7 of 20 patients (35%). There was no operative mortality.
