ポビドンヨードと塩化ベンザルコニウムの消毒効果

BACTERIOCIDAL ACTIVITIES OF POVIDONE IODINE AND BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE

　尿路疾患患者から分離したコアグラーゼ陰性ブドウ球菌，大腸菌，緑膿菌の各50株を対象として，ポビドンヨードと塩化ベンザルコニウムの消毒効果を調べた。消毒薬を6分間菌液に作用させ，殺菌されずに残存したコロニー数を計数した。1％ポビドンヨードは，菌量1×10⁸個／mlに作用した場合は，3菌種のそれぞれ一部の株を殺菌できなかつたが，菌量1×10⁶個／mlに作用した場合はすべて殺菌した。塩化ベンザルコニウムは，濃度0.1％でコアグラーゼ陰性ブドウ球菌と大腸菌を完全に殺菌したが，緑膿菌にはほとんど無効で，濃度1％でも数株の緑膿菌を殺菌できなかつた。

We studied bacteriocidal activities of povidone iodine and benzalkonium chloride towards 50 clinical isolates of each of E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Coagulase negative Staphylococcus. A suspension of each isolate was made in contact with either solution of the disinfectants for 6 minutes, and colonies were counted after incubation.
