　前立腺全摘除術における陰茎背面静脈叢処理法について，切断後縫合法とバンチング法とをそれぞれ10例，12例に施行し，前立腺尖部の根治性と出血量，術後の尿失禁を比較した。バンチング法では4例に前立腺尖部断端に腫瘍細胞を認めたが，切断後縫合法ではこれを認めなかった。術中出血量は切断後縫合法843±249ml，バンチング法842±302mlで差はなかった。以上より切断後縫合法は前立腺尖部の取り残しのない摘出が可能であることが示唆され，出血の程度もバンチング法と遜色がないこと，および尿失禁の程度にも差がないことが判明した。前立腺全摘除術に際し，切断後縫合法は有用と思われた。

We studied the role of cutting and suturing technique of dorsal vein complex (cut and suture technique) in comparison with bunching technique in radical prostatectomy. During the last one and a half year, radical prostatectomy was carried out with "cut and suture technique" in 10 patients, and with conventional bunching technique in 12. Pathologically 4 of 12 patients with bunching technique showed tumor cells in the surgical margin of apex. On the other hand, no patients with plain cutting technique showed tumor cells there, suggesting the "cut and suture technique" was beneficial for en bloc complete dissection of apex of the prostate.
