緒言
インポテンス患者の診療にあたつて，もつとも重要なことは，それが機能的であるのか，器質的であるのかをまず診断することである。この問題に関しては，多くのすぐれた業績がみられる1〜4）。しかし，これらに記載されている方法は，日常臨床において一般泌尿器科医が施行するには，やや煩雑に過ぎるきらいがあるように思われる。
われわれは，かねてより，仙髄反射弓の機能検査の一方法として，球海綿体反射（以下BCRと略）を利用し球海綿筋より誘発電位を記録，その平均潜時を検討してきた。これらの成績の一部は，日本泌尿器科学会第45回東部連合総会（1980年10月）において発表したが，今回この比較的簡便で侵襲もほとんどない誘発筋電図法を，インポテンス患者に対しても試みてみたところ，十分臨床に役立つ方法であると思えたので報告する次第である。
It is clinically very important to make an objective differential diagnosis between functional and organic impotence and be useful to investigate the condition of the sacral reflex arc.
The method we used was to study impotence in 9 men by means of electromyographic examination of the bulbocavernosus reflex in order to determine reflex latency. Of the 9 cases, 5 were classified as having functional impotence (4 mental cases, 1 psychotic case) and 4 as organic impotectence.
1) The mean latency of the 4 mental impotence cases was shown to be 38.1mSec and 32.9mSec in the psychotic case.
