Ⅰ．緒言

　本邦における原発性男子尿道癌の報告は，1912年（明治45年）の久留^1）の1例を，その最初のものとするが，現在に至るまで，文献上約50例にすぎず，比較的少ない疾患といえる。最近G．W．Kaplan等^48）は，英米の文献上，報告された232例につき，統計的な分析データを発表しているので，著者もここで，我々の経験した1例を報告するとともに，本邦例を同様に解析し，比較してみようと思う。

A case of primary squamous cell carcinoma of the male anterior urethra in a 68 years old man was reported. The site of its origin was proposed to be in bulbous urethra on operative findings and negative histological proof for the carcinoma being initiated from scrotal or perineal skin. Autopsy was not performed.

49 cases of primary tumor or the male urethra were collected from the Japanese literature and summarized. Most of them were between 50 and 70 years and most of the chief complaints were palpation of the tumor or obstructive signs.
