Ⅰ．緒言
腎盂扁平上皮癌の発生原因として，従来より慢性の刺戟，慢性炎症，化生が重要視され特に癌発生と結石との関係を追求すべく，種々の実験結果が報告され，また結石が癌発生上に関与したと思われる症例も報告されている。
我々は最近，珊瑚状結石を伴える腎盂扁平上皮癌の1例を経験したので報告すると共に本症と結石との関係につき若干の文献的考察を試みた。
A 56 years old house wife visited our clinic with the chief complaint of right flank pain and lumbago and x-ray examination showed a right staghorn calculi. Fever and chills occured afteradmission and right nephrectomy was performed for right kidney stone and pyonephrosis. The removed kidney weighed 450 g., 14 × 7 × 6 cm in size and upper pol showed hydronephrosis with new growth at the right kidney pelvis, which histopathological findings was squamous cell carcinoma, and also the staghorn calculi weighed 35 g.
The calculi seemed to have some relation to the pathogenesis of the tumor in this case.
