Ⅰ．はじめに

　Priapismは比較的稀な疾患であるが，最近しだいに報告が増加し1930年山本^12）の第1例以来，大越等^4）は66例，永田等^9）84例，中溝等^7）95例，古川等^11）129例，入沢等^2）135例（1965年6月まで）について報告している。我々は中溝等95例後の症例を蒐集し自験1例を加えて現在（1966年9月まで）では150例に達している。その原因は非常に複雑で，かかる患者に接するとき，その由来を即断しがたいが患者の苦痛を見，その後遺症を考えるとき，速やかに適切な治療法を完成することの必要性を痛感する。我々は最近本症の1例を経験したので報告する。

Priapism occured in a 43 years old male following severe trauma of the penis and is reported for the good results obtained by puncture of the corpus cavernosum and intramuscular injection of Kymo-tripsin. The remarkable points are as follows:

1) Plasma fibrinogen was elevated to 505 mg/dl and from this, it is suggested that priapism must have occured from the increased blood viscocity secondary to high coagulability of blood platelets resulting slow local blood circulation.

2) Healing took place by starting intramuscular injection of Kymotripsin at onset combined with puncture of corpus cavernosum on the second and fourth day.
