Ⅰ．緒言

　Congenital unilateral multicystic kidneyという疾患は，1936年Schwartz^1）の命名によるものであるが，本邦では一般に先天性偏側性多嚢腎と呼称されている。

　本症は，主として小児にみられる先天性の嚢胞性腎疾患であり，極めて興味深い特微的所見をもつている。しかしながら，その報告例が非常にまれであるために，従来多くの人の注意を惹くに至らず，欧米の文献上でも過去に数十を数えるのみで，しかも本症を認識せずに他の疾患と混同して報告している例が少なくない。本邦における報告はさらに少なく，私どもの検索で明らかに本症と認められるものは，わずかに2例を数えるにすぎない。

A case of Congenital unilateral multicystic kidney is reported.

18 years old female visited our clinic with the chief complaint of lumbago on the right side and by various examination, hypertension was noticed. Intravenous pyelogram showed a normal left and nonfunctioning right kidney. Retroperitoneal space air study showed a normal left kidney but the right kidney was noticed as an irregular mass and did not show the normal outline. Renogram and scintigram showed the normal findings on the left and nonfunctioning right kidney. Right nephrec-tomy was performed under the diagnosis of hypoplastic kidney from the previous findings.
