女子尿道癌が尿道の全剔除を必要とする場合，その後尿路をどこへ導くかは重要な問題である。Herbutも指摘しているように尿道癌は膀胱頸部に向つて進行しても膀胱そのものを侵すことは稀である。従つて尿道を剔除したあとの尿路の再建にはその健常な膀胱を利用するのが好ましい。これは膀胱の蓄尿能力と尿管膀胱移行部の生理機構を保存する意味においてそうである。
この目的にそうためには膀胱弁を用いる手術法が考えられる。膀胱前壁に短冊状の有茎の膀胱弁を形成し，これを管状にして恥骨上に出す方法はBarnes et al．（1653）により報告され，本邦においても下江ら（1961）の追試報告がある。
In reconstruction of urinary tract following total urethrectomy for urethral carcinoma in female, method that preserves the intact urinary bladder is preferred. Normal micturition through normal route with continence is desired.
For this purpose, flap tube made from the anterior bladder wall was brought down to the original urethral course successfully. Normal urinary control was obtained without special device imitating physiological mechanism.
A case of 53 year old female patient with urethral carcinoma in which this surgical technique was employed is reported.
