79歳，男性。主訴は左無痛性陰囊腫大。2010年4月，左精巣癌を疑い，左高位精巣摘除術を施行した。病理組織学的検査で，カルチノイド腫瘍と診断した。画像検査で他臓器に異常を認めず，精巣原発カルチノイド腫瘍と診断した。精巣原発カルチノイド腫瘍は診断時に転移を有していないことが多く，精巣摘出のみで良好な予後を得られることが多い。しかし，非常に稀に長期経過した段階で転移をきたした報告もあり，注意が必要である。
A 78-year-old man with complaint of painless swelling of the left scrotal content was referred to our hospital due to suspected left testicular cancer. He underwent left radical orchiectomy. Pathologic diagnosis of the tumor was carcinoid tumor. CT and 131-I-meta-iodobenzylguanidine scintigraphy disclosed no metastatic lesions or no specific lesions of other organs. The patient remains free of recurrence during 23 months after operation.
