症例は36歳，男性。数か月前より左陰囊が腫大し，徐々に硬化してきたとのことで当科を受診した。腫瘍マーカーは正常であったが精巣腫瘍と判断し，高位除睾術を施行した。病理組織診断の結果，精巣腫瘍の組織型としては非常に珍しいカルチノイドであった。
A 36-year-old man presented with an asymptomatic left testicular mass. Left high inguinal orchiectomy was performed under the diagnosis of testicular tumor. Histological examination confirmed a pure carcinoid tumor with no teratomatous elements. A computed tomography and other studies demonstrated no metastasis. The patient remained well without any evidence of recurrence for 16 months postoperatively.
