　はじめに

　筋肉内血管腫は，若年者の骨格筋内に発生する良性の血管腫で，全血管腫の1％以下の少ない疾患である^1）。頭頸部領域の筋肉内血管腫の占める割合は，全筋肉内血管腫の15％以下で，この中では咬筋や僧帽筋が多いといわれる^2）。咬筋内血管腫に関しては，手術方法も含め報告が多いが^3,4），胸鎖乳突筋内血管腫に関しての報告はほとんどみられない。今回われわれは，胸鎖乳突筋内に発生し，皮下脂肪織まで浸潤性に発育した巨大血管腫を経験したので報告する。

Intramuscular hemangioma of the head and neck is uncommon benign tumor. It usually arises as a slowly enlarging soft tumor. Because of the rarityof this tumor and unfamiliar presentation, it is often misdiagnosed and left as such.

A case of a huge intramuscular hemangioma of the sternocleidomastoid muscle which presented an invasive growing pattern is described. It spread into the whole muscle and the adipose tissue layer. It was thought that the tumor showed the enlargement and invasive growing for about 30 years without treatment.
