　はじめに

　頭頸部外科領域において，術後ドレーンを留置することは術後管理を適切に行ううえで重要な役目を果たしている。持続吸引ドレナージは，日本では1960年代より一部報告がされ始めたが，今日，様々な形態の持続吸引ドレナージが市販され使用されている。

　今回われわれは，国立栃木病院耳鼻咽喉科において，1983年より施行している小手術野に対する術後ドレナージ方法について，その使用法と施行結果について報告する。

The use of winged needle and blood collecting tube for closed-wound suction drainage is intro-duced and its practicability is evaluated. Although the system is not recommended for use to wound with excessive fluid to be acccumulated, it is quite applicable for collecting exudate from the post-operative wound of head and neck surgery. With less obstruction, air-leakage or wound infection, the system is attested as one of the practical and reli-able closed-wound suction device for head and neck surgery.
