舌根部に発生した骨腫の1症例

A Case of Lingual Osteoma of the Base of the Tongue

　はじめに

　舌は主として筋組織により構成された器官であり，骨腫の発生は少ない。舌骨腫は，1913年にMonsarrat^1）が初めて報告して以来，現在までに約40例が報告されているに過ぎない^2）。今回われわれは，11歳，男児の舌骨腫症例を経験したので報告する。

A 11-year-old boy presented with a growth on thebase of the tongue, and on examination it was revealed a hard white colored mass in the midline dorsal aspect of the tongue. The mass was complete-ly excised under local anesthesia and histopath-ological diagnosis of lingual osteoma was made. Postoperative follow up of the patient for one year showed no evidence of recurrence.
