　はじめに

　原発性上皮小体機能亢進症をきたす病変は過形成，腺腫，癌に大別される。そのなかで癌は決して多いものではないが，本邦では欧米に比べてその頻度が高いといわれている^1）。上皮小体癌では頸部に腫瘤を触知することも多く，また著明な高カルシウム血症を呈することが知られている。それに伴う様々な全身症状がみられるが，手術により劇的に改善する症例もある。

　今回われわれは頸部腫瘤とともに，著しい高カルシウム血症と骨病変を呈した上皮小体癌症例を経験したので報告する。

Hyperparathyroidism due to parathyroid car-cinoma is rare. A 52-year-old woman presented with a palpable neck mass and muscle weakness.The laboratory findings showed severe hypercal-cemia and high level of parathyroid hormone, and x ray films revealed fibrocystic process of the bone. Parathyroid carcinoma was highly suspected and she underwent tumor resection with hemithy-roidectomy and paratracheal nodal dissection. His-topathological diagnosis was parathyroid car-cinoma. Following surgery there was a relief from the symptoms associated with normal serum cal-cium and slight recalcification of bone.
