はじめに

　咽喉頭異常感の原因診断におけるX線学的検査は，これまで器質的異常の検出のみに偏重していた点を反省し，機能的異常の関与を検討するとともに，そのX線所見および検査法について考按した。

　従来指摘されている器質的異常のみでは，患者の愁訴を合理的に説明しきれず，また器質的異常を認めない場合の異常感の原因解釈に困難を感じている。

There are some abnormal sensations due to functional disorders of the pharynx and esophagus. Incomplete barium clearance of the pharyngeal space might be a cause of abnormal sensation, and the incomplete clearance was found in 47 per cent of 487 patients with paresthesia pharyn-ges. The incomplete barium clearance suggested some changes due to age and functional disorders of the pharynx. The causes of abnormal sensation were discussed on the standpoint of hypofunctional status in the pharynx and esophagus.
