はじめに

　舌根部囊胞は，舌根部に発生する甲状舌管囊胞や貯留囊胞などの囊胞性疾患の総称であり，その発生は乳幼児に散見されるが成人では比較的稀とされている^1）。

　今回われわれは，成人に発生した舌根部囊胞の2例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A 43-year-old man was transported to our hospital by an ambulance because of failure of tube insertion for general anesthesia by a huge lingual cyst. A 68-year-old man was sufferring from abnormal sensation in the pharynx for two months. In both cases lingual cysts were located in the base of tongue. Each mass was marsupialized with oral approaches under general anesthesia. Histopathological examinations showed mucosal retention cyst in both cases. In the former case, recurrence was observed five months after the first surgery and completely resected by extra-anterior neck approach.
