Ⅰ　はじめに

　転移性甲状腺癌は剖検時に発見されることが多く，臨床経過中に認められることは稀である^1～3）。今回われわれは，食道悪性腫瘍における割合が低いとされる食道小細胞癌^4）において，原発巣に対する放射線化学療法および肝転移に対する化学療法後の経過観察中に，甲状腺転移が認められた症例を経験したので報告する。

　We report a clinically rare case that was affected with thyroid metastasis of small cell carcinoma of the esophagus. A 77-year-old woman underwent chemoradiation therapy consisted of etoposide plus cisplatin and 60 Gy of radiation for the primary lesion. Nine months later,she underwent chemotherapy consisted of etoposide and carbamazepine for liver metastases. Five months later,she complained of dull feeling of the throat. Ultrasonically-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy at the left lobe of the thyroid gland exhibited small cell carcinoma cells,which represented that the esophageal carcinoma had metastasized to the thyroid gland.
