頸部小細胞癌の1例

A case of cervical small cell carcinoma

はじめに

　肺外小細胞癌は稀な疾患であり，頭頸部に発生する頻度はさらに低い。われわれは顎下部に発生した小細胞癌の1例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

　A 66-year-old male with a swelling of the left submandibular area was diagnosed as small cell carcinoma confirmed by biopsy. Colon cancer was also found by systimic examination along with metastasis of cervical lymph-nodes in both sides. We treated him with chemoradiation therapy（with cisplatin and etoposide）according to our treatment policy for limited small cell lung cancer. Primary and cervical lymph node showed CR. We had also provided care for colon cancer, and the patient left the hospital. One week later, he became anoxic, and died of multi organ failure caused by multiple liver metastasis. The major cause of death due to cervical small cell cancer was thought to be distal metastasis. Therefore the control of distal metastasis is important for the improvement of prognosis.
