Ⅰ　はじめに

　外歯瘻は歯科ではそれほど稀な疾患ではないが，瘻孔を形成した部位により，皮膚科・外科・整形外科・耳鼻咽喉科などを受診し，診断・治療までに時間を要すことが少なくない。今回われわれは診断に苦慮した顎下部外歯瘻の1例を経験したので若干の文献考察を含めて報告する。

　A 37-year-old man was referred to the otolaryngology department with an infectious fistula in the skin on the submandibular gland. The external dental fistula was suspected,however,it was denied by his family dentist. Radiographic review suggested a fistula related with chronic inflammation of the submandibular gland,which lead to the resection of the fistula and submandibular gland. Four weeks later,he developed a swelling of the same submandibular area and gingiva. Another dentist diagnosed as external dental fistula based on the infectious tooth root of the first molar. Exodontia was done,and the patient was released from his symptoms.
