Ⅰ．はじめに

　頰筋と咬筋の間に存在する頰脂肪体（buccal fat pad）と呼ばれる脂肪組織を頰間隙（buccal space），または頰部隙と称する^1）。この間隙に発生する腫瘍組織は比較的稀^1～4）で，さらに唾液腺由来，血管組織由来，軟部組織由来と多様で診断に難渋することがある。今回われわれは頰間隙に発生して摘出標本で血管腫と確定診断された1例を経験した。診断するに当たりダイナミックMRIが有用であったので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A 52-year-old man visited our hospital for evaluation of a mass lesion in his buccal space and thyroid tumor. The thyroid tumor was suspected to be malignant by fine needle aspiration. However, the buccal space tumor was thought to be hemangioma because the enhancement of its dynamic study on MR imaging. The buccal tumor was first removed through oral approach under general anesthesia. Total resection was performed with uneventful postoperative course. The tumor was diagnosed as hemangioma. Thereafter, we performed hemithyroidectomy. There was no recurrence of the buccal space hemangioma and thyroid carcinoma.
