I．はじめに

　喉頭に発生する悪性腫瘍の組織型としては扁平上皮癌が大多数を占め，紡錘細胞癌は約1％と少ない。今回われわれは，左声門上喉頭扁平上皮癌に対して放射線治療を受けた後10年を経過して同じく喉頭に発生した紡錘細胞癌の1例を経験したので報告する。

　A 73-year-old female,who had treated by irradiation in 1994 for left T1 supraglottic laryngeal cancer accompanied by idiopathic bilateral vocal cord paralysis,was complaining of hoarseness since November,2003. Biopsy specimens of the tumor of the right vocal cord revealed spindle cell carcinoma（so-called carcinosarcoma）,and she underwent total laryngectomy. She has been disease free for 16 months postoperatively. The present case was unusual because the tumor occurred in non-smoking female who received irradiation therapy 10 years before. Possible pathegenesis of this atypical case is discussed.
