I．はじめに

　Ramsay Hunt症候群（以下，Hunt症候群と略）は水痘帯状疱疹ウイルス（varicella-zoster virus：以下VZVと略す）の再活性化に起因する外耳道や耳介周辺の帯状疱疹，同側の末梢性顔面神経麻痺と同側の内耳障害を3主徴とする症候群である。3主徴のいずれかを欠く不全型Hunt症候群がある一方，稀に第Ⅶ，Ⅷ脳神経以外の脳神経症状を呈することが知られており，その多くは下位脳神経障害である^1～3）。

　今回われわれは，右の第Ⅴ・Ⅶ・Ⅷ・Ⅸ・Ⅹ・XI・XII脳神経障害を呈したHunt症候群の1例を経験した。本症例のごとく多発性に脳神経障害を呈した症例は極めて珍しく，多発性脳神経障害を呈したHunt症候群の発生機序を考えるうえで示唆に富む症例と考えられたので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　We report a case of Ramsay Hunt syndrome associated with paralysis of the rightⅤ,Ⅶ,Ⅷ,Ⅸ,Ⅹ,XI and XII cranial nerves. The patient was a 26-year-old male who complained of sore throat and right otalgia. Spinal tap findings and serum VZV-antibody titers suggested that cranial polyneuropathy would be caused by the reactivation of varicella zoster virus. After intravenous injection of acyclovir and methyl-prednisolone sodium succinate,cranial polyneuropathy were restored. Ramsay Hunt syndrome associated with multiple cranial neuropathy was not frequently reported. Early recognition of Ramsay Hunt syndrome enables the early administration of antiviral argents for improvement of the patient's prognosis.
