　可塑性（フォルダブル）眼内レンズ（intraocular lens：IOL）挿入を受け，良好な視力を得た67眼の術後早期でのコントラスト感度を測定した。含水ゲルIOL25眼，シリコーンIOL12眼，アクリルソフトIOL30眼である。マルチビジョンコントラストテスター（MCT8000^TM, Vistech）を用いて昼間視コントラスト感度を測定した。測定は術後0.4から3.6月（平均1.7月）に行った。術後コントラスト感度の平均値は，各IOL群問に有意差がなかった。含水ゲルIOL挿入眼での術後早期の後嚢混濁と水晶体上皮細胞の伸展は，視機能に影響する可能性が少ないと半1」断された。

We measured the contrast sensitivity in 67 eyes soon after uneventful cataract surgery with implantation of foldable intraocular lenses (IOLs). Following IOLs were used : hydrogel IOL 25 eyes, silicone IOL 12 eyes, and acryl soft IOL 30 eyes. Day vision contrast sensitivity was measured using a multivision contrast tester (MCT8000^TM, Vistech). Measurement was performed 0.4 to 3.6 months (average 1.7months) after surgery. There was no difference in the mean value of contrast sensitivity among the three types of IOL. The finding seemed to show that hydrogel IOL would not affect the visual function due to posterior capsular opacity or formation of lens epithelial cell layer during the early postoperative period.
