　34歳女性，慢性C型肝炎に対しインターフェロン点滴治療を受けた。投与開始5週後に視力障害，中心暗点をきたし，視力は右眼0.02（矯正不能），左眼0.1（矯正不能）であった。両眼底は視神経乳頭周囲に2乳頭径の範囲に軟性白斑が多発，2,3か所網膜出血があり，黄斑浮腫を認めた。螢光眼底撮影では，radial peripapillary capillariesの循環障害が高度に存在し，病態の主因をなしていた。投与中止4か月後の螢光眼底検査では循環障害は消失しており，網膜症は可逆的であった。本例では，インターフェロン網膜症の本態はradial peripapillary capiilariesの循環障害にあると考えられた。さらに循環障害が高度であったため，視神経萎縮を残した。

A 34-year-old female presented with bilateral visual impairment and central scotoma. She had been under systemic treatment with interferon β daily during the foregoing 5 weeks for chronic hepatitis C. Her correcterd visual acuity was 0.02 right and 0.1 left.Funduscopy showed macular edema, soft exudates within 2 disc diopters from the optic disc, and a few retinal hemorrhages.Fluorescein angiography showed nonperfusion in the area of radial peripapillary capillaris. The findings led to the diagnosis of interferon retinopathy. The clinical and fundus findings normalized, excepting optic atrophy, 4 months after discontinuation of interferon. This case illustrates that radial peripapillary capillaries may be chiefly involved interferon retinopathy.
