　54歳女性に発症した眼窩結核の1例を報告した。この症例は，眼瞼腫脹，眼痛，視力低下，眼球運動障害などの眼窩先端症候群より始まり，わずか3か月の経過中に視力消失，強角膜壊死に陥り，眼球摘出術を施行した。術後，摘出眼の病理組織検査により，結核と診断した。同時に，上顎洞にも高度の肉芽腫性炎症病変を認め，病巣の上顎洞からの波及を疑わせた。この間，全身の他臓器いずれにも，結核を疑わせる所見はなかった。眼窩結核はきわめて稀な疾患ではあるが，眼窩内腫瘍の鑑別診断として重要であることを示した。

A 54-year-old female presented with orbital apex syndrome of one month's duration in her left eye. Histopathological studies of the therapeutical-ly enucleated eye and adnexa showed caseating granulomatous inflammatory lesion and led to the diagnosis of tuberculosis of the orbit and the maxil-lary sinus. While orbital tuberculosis is extremely rare, tuberculosis is to be considered as a possibility in the differential diagnosis of orbital space-oc-cupying lesion.
