　睫毛ケジラミ寄生症の1例を報告した。眼脂と眼瞼の掻痒を訴えて4歳の女児が受診したが，両眼上下眼瞼の大部分の睫毛根部に多数の白色球状の小さな虫卵と，かなりの数の黄白色の虫体が睫毛に付着しているのが観察された。眼瞼縁は脂漏性眼瞼炎類似の炎症所見を呈していた。虫体および虫卵を鑷子を用いて機械的に除去するとともに，両眼上下の睫毛をすべて根部より切除した。除去物は顕微鏡下でPhthirus pubisとその虫卵と同定された。抗生剤の点眼とスミスリン・ワセリン（スミスリンパウダー®）の塗擦にて，約1週間後に症状の寛解をみ，以後再発していない。

A 4-year-old girl presented with eye discharge and itchy eyelids. She manifested numerous whit-ish, round and tiny parasite eggs to almost all the eyelashes near their roots. Both eyes and both upper and lower eyelids were infested. Numerous yellowish white parasites adhered to the eyelashes. The lid margins showed inflammatory signs resem-bling seborrheic blepharitis. The parasites and the eggs were identified as Phthirus pubis by micro-scopy. We removed them completely by forceps and shaved off the cilia. Pathological findings disappea-red within one week of treatment with intillation of antibiotics eyedrops and topical application of sumithrin vaseline.
