　自覚症状出現から2週間以内の網膜静脈閉塞症6例に組織プラスミノーゲンアクチベータ（tissue-type plasminogen activator：t-PA）を投与した。方法は初日に1,000万国際単位，2日目，3日目に500万国際単位を1時間の静注で投与した。その結果，投与前視力と比べて投与終了直後に全例で視力改善を得た。しかし，投与後1か月の段階では視力改善4例，不変1例，悪化1例となり，2例で投与終了後に再増悪を認めた。眼および全身合併症はなかった。組織プラスミノーゲンアクチベータは新鮮例網膜静脈閉塞症に対する有効な治療法であるが，投与量，適応症例，および再閉塞予防のための血小板凝集抑制剤および抗凝固剤併用の検討が必要である。

We treated 4 patients with central retinal vein occlusion and 2 with branch retinal vein occlusion within 2 weeks after onset of the disease. We performed thrombolytic therapy with tissue-type plasminogen activator, t-PA. It was injected at the dosis of 10⁷ IU on the first day and at the half dosis on the second and third day. The visual acuityimproved in all the eyes after the last session of treatment. One month later, the visual acuity im-proved in 4 eyes, unchanged in one and deteriorated in one when compared with the pretreatment level. Ophthalmic and systemic side effects were absent throughout. The findings seemed to suggest the effectiveness of this therapeutic modality for cen-tral and branch retinal vein occlusions during their early stage. Further study is necessary to elucidate the indication and dosage of therapy.
