要約　目的：10歳児に発症した水痘帯状疱疹ウイルス（VZV）によると推定された角膜内皮炎の報告。症例：10歳女児が5日前からの右眼の眼痛と充血で受診した。所見：視力は左右とも1.5で，右眼の毛様充血，下耳側の角膜に限局性浮腫，Descemet膜皺襞，角膜後面沈着物があった。所見から角膜内皮炎と診断した。血清のVZV-IgMが陽性で，17日後に陰性化した。VZVが原因ウイルスと推定された。結論：角膜内皮炎が健康な小児に発症することがある。VZVが原因である場合があり，本例では血清のIgM検査が有用であった。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report corneal endotheliitis presumably due to varicella-zoster virus（VZV）in a 10-year-old child. Case：A 10-year-old girl presented with pain and hyperemia in the right eye since 5 days before. Findings：Visual acuity was 1.5 in either eye. The right eye showed ciliary injection, localized edema in the lower temporal corneal sector, and keratic precipitates. The findings led to the diagnoses of corneal endotheliitis. Serum VZV-IgM was positive. It became negative after 17 days of antiviral treatments. VZV appeared to be the cause for corneal endotheliitis. Conclusion：This case illustrates that corneal endotheliitis may develop in an apparently healthy child due to VZV. Serum IgM was useful in the diagnosis.
