本邦では未だ詳細な記載のないsuperior limbic keratoconjunctivitisの1例を報告した。
症例は甲状腺機能亢進症の治療をうけていた29歳の女性で，眼痛を主訴とし，眼所見としては，上眼瞼瞼結膜の乳頭増殖と亢血，上部角膜輪部の肥厚増殖と上方球結膜の充血，上方角膜にフィラメント形成などの特微を示しており，眼症状は甲状腺機能亢進と平行して増悪寛解を見せた。
球結膜の擦過標本では，結膜上皮の角化と核のsnake-like-apPearanceを認めた。
A 29-year-old woman complained of pain in both eyes. Ocular examination revealed 1) papil-lary hypertrophy of the superior tarsal conjunctiva with hypermia, 2) hypermia of the upper bulbar conjunctiva with thickning of the conjunctiva at the upper limbus, and 3) multiple corneal fila-ments at the upper cornea.
Scrapings of the superior bulbar conjunctival epithelium showed keratinization of the epithelial cells and snake-like appearance of nuclear chroma-tin.
This is, to our knowlege, the first report of "su-perior limbic keratoconjunctivitis" with hyperthy-roidism in Japan.
