Abstract 文献概要

　白内障術後，3カ月前後を経て両側の上力輪部を中心とする角膜および強膜の病変を呈した2症例を報告した。1例は85歳女で，上方の角膜辺縁潰瘍と重篤広範な壊死性強膜炎を両眼に生じ，病変は難治進行性であったが，自覚症や眼内炎症所見は軽度であった。他の1例は72歳女で，両眼上方球結膜の深層充血を伴う上方角膜の辺縁潰瘍がみられた。2例とも，ステロイド頻回点眼によく反応したが，1例に広範な強膜菲薄化を残した。

Two females, aged 72 and 85 years each, deve-loped marginal corneal ulceration and scleritis bilaterally 2 to 5 months after uneventful intracap-sular cataract extraction. Virgin silk sutures had been used to closed the corneoscleral wound.

The scleritis in one case was of severe necrotic and progressive nature so as to leave extensive thin scleral area. The scleritis was slight in the other case. The appearance of corneal lesions in both cases was similar to that of Mooren's ulcer without pain.

Both cases responded well to topical corticoste-roid therapy.
