緒　言

　螢光眼底撮影の際に使用するFluoresceinsodium水溶液（以下Fl-Na液）の静注による副作用として，一過性の悪心，嘔吐など短期間の副作用は時に経験するが，他の薬物に見られるような長期間にわたる肝，腎障害やショックなどの重篤な副作用は非常に少ないとされている。

　最近，われわれはFl−Na液静注後，脳塞栓による中枢神経障害が出現し，2週間後，死に至つた1例を経験したので報告する。

A 49-year-old woman with hypertension and diabetes melitus died immediately after exami-nation of Fl-Na angiography. Fluorescein in-jection was performed using 5ml of 10% fluor-escein sodium and Primperan (metochloride) 2ml. within 2 seconds.

Immediately after injection she fell in semi-coma and involuntary movement and died 2 weeks later.

X-ray examination showed the narrowing on the left syphone of internal carotid artery. The actual cause of death was presumed to be circulatory disturbances due to high speed intra-venous injection rather than allergical reaction.
