緒　言

　システム900コアグレーターは光学的問節を利用したシステム800^1）の改良型で，レーザー発振部と凝固用光学系の間にファイバーオプティックスを伝達系として用いたものである。すなわらシステム800の特徴に加えて，伝達系の損失が少ないために，最大出力の増加（角膜上で2W），それによる最大凝固サイズの拡大（2,000μ），フレキシビリティの増加による操作性の改善などがあげられる。

Clinical experiences with Coherent Radiation System 900 argon laser photocoagulator are described. The unit consists of argon laser tube, slitlamp and monofilament fiber-optics as delivery system. The latter enables reduction of loss of laser energy and facilitates flexibili-ty of the slitlamp microscope. In clinical expe-riences, we confirmed feasibility of argon las-er photocoagulator for treatment of macular diseases by using small retinal spot size (75-100μ) and low power (150-200 milliwatts). Care is to be paid to avoid possible complica-tions clue to overdosis.
